Established on 8th May, 1980 & Activities are:

• • In a continuous journey of 46 years Ritwik is executing the social responsibility of artists by presenting the socio-political situations to audience in a broad perspective.
• • Several productions were staged in different districts, states and abroad at reputed theatre festivals.
• • Special focus in acting – Ritwik conducts workshops, seminars and other theatre related activities throughout the year. There is a constant effort to search for a new language of theatre in its activities.
• • Ritwik conducts theatre performances each month to create new audience for the theatre.
• • Ritwik has its own rehearsal room. Over thirty persons are continuously working in this room to create new spectacles. A large portion of members of the group is young and energetic. Besides theatre there are two other arenas where Ritwik is involved – one is recitation; another song.
• • In its journey of 46 years, Ritwik has produced 47 plays. In addition to these, if we consider the non-formal and open-air plays, the number goes up to 26.
• • Ritwik achieved success in different forms of theatre. It has produced excellent proscenium theatre as well as committed theatre like street plays continuously.
